The MDC Board is closely monitoring State, Local and County regulations. Currently, parishioners in Contra Costa County can legally gather outside if less than 100 persons. There are several rules and recommendations regarding sanitization and wearing masks.
To mitigate the risk of transmission to the greatest extent possible, CCHS encourages participants to wear face coverings at all times, maintain social distance when possible, practice good hand hygiene, and stay home if sick. If a participant tests positive for COVID-19, the host will be asked to assist CCHS with contact tracing associated with the gathering.
This makes for a difficult service as it is uncomfortable for the attendees, and difficult for our Pastor and Worship Team. Our Insurance coverage would be null and void if we did not follow all required regulations.
The Board believes the risk for our Congregation is too great based on the information gathered from the various health agencies. Therefore, we have decided not to meet together at this time until the risks are reduced or mitigated. We continue to monitor the situation and will be in touch if there are any changes.
Thanks to all who have contributed recycled bottles & cans to our MDC Children's Ministry. We kicked this off last year & have raised over $700. These funds go towards supplies needed to support our Children's Program. For more info re donating your recyclables...
